NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. *

Offering affirming, trauma-informed therapy and clinical supervision for adults across Missouri. Whether you’re seeking support, growth, or guidance — let’s connect.

A rugged mountainous landscape with steaming geothermal activity, rocky terrain in shades of brown and orange, patches of snow, and a glacier in the background under a cloudy sky.

I get it — something needs to change, but you’re not sure where to start.

  • It’s impacting your relationships, your mood, and your ability to feel safe.

  • Whether you’re questioning or exploring your gender, sexuality, or in a non-traditional relationship, you deserve therapy that understands you.

  • ADHD, anxiety, or burnout make it hard to focus, follow through, or rest.

I’m Stevie Fichtenmayer.

A woman with shoulder-length light brown hair and brown eyes smiling in the sun, standing in front of pink blossoming trees and a lake in the background. She is wearing a black and pink short sleeve blouse layered over a pine green shirt.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR-trained therapist based in St. Louis, Missouri.

I provide trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy for adults across Missouri, including Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, St. Louis and surrounding areas. My goal is to create a collaborative, affirming space where you can feel truly seen and supported as you work toward the life you want.

How I can help

  • I use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches — including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) — to help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories, improve emotional regulation, and restore a sense of safety. Our work is paced to your readiness, focusing on stabilization before deeper processing.

  • I provide culturally competent, affirming care for people of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. This means therapy that incorporates your lived experiences, addresses minority stress, and helps you navigate challenges without pathologizing your identity.

  • I work with adults with ADHD, autism, and other forms of neurodivergence using strengths-based, practical strategies. Our sessions may include skill-building, executive functioning support, and developing systems that work with — not against — your brain’s wiring.

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

Brené Brown

Taking the first step toward change isn’t easy — and reaching out takes real courage. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Let’s start the conversation.
